HUNGER SHOULD NEVER BE USED AS A WEAPON OF WAR. ACT TODAY.
Conflict is the leading cause of hunger. And it’s on the rise.
In conflict, whole communities can struggle to access to the food, clean water and shelter they need to survive.
When fields are burned, crops are destroyed, and water sources are polluted - people starve.
This is unacceptable.
International Humanitarian Law already prevents the use of hunger as a weapon of war. But it must be upheld. Parents caught up in conflict can't feed their children. And humanitarian workers are prevented from helping them.
Will you add your name to our message to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak?
We call for the Prime Minister to:
- Uphold and champion international humanitarian law - prohibiting the use of starvation as a weapon of war.
- Hold those who break international humanitarian laws to account.
- Protect civilians, and humanitarian and health workers.
- Support sustainable recovery and the prevention of future crises through multi-year humanitarian finance.
